Fayecheezy Mag fosters a sense of self-discovery through food, health, culture & play. Perfection isn’t the point. Curiosity is.

It started as a dream of a 13-year-old digging through a dumpster full of discarded magazines behind a Border’s Bookstore in 1999. The pages of last month’s Italian Vogue and a fresh stack of “Good Things” in Martha Stewart Living was my meditation. In sketchbooks I built an archive of thoughts, cravings, seasonal obsessions and teenage philosophies.

I dreamed that one day, these pages would become my own magazine.

After years as a pastry chef the number of times people have asked me for a recipe, I thought I should write a book. That lasted a brief second until I realized publishing is basically a maze designed to break your will. With zero interest in chasing gatekeepers, I dropped the idea fast.

Then a close friend, a librarian at an arts college in Boston, mentioned her students were deep into zine culture. That was the moment. Skip the cookbook.

It’s time to start a magazine.

As an inside joke with myself (and my husband’s never-ending stream of nicknames), Fayecheezy was born. A title that shouldn’t work, yet somehow… does. It carries the energy of my entire world.

This project is the grown-up evolution of a teenager’s bed full of magazines and all the journals that followed.

We aspire to capture the mood. To inspire others to take notes. To read a magazine.

In a world obsessed with fitting in, Fayecheezy Mag exists to remind you that you don’t have to.

Online it’s a collection of my own archive of journals and notes.

On paper it’s a reflection that the world all around us is living art, we just have to remain curious.
