My love for magazines is deep rooted. Growing up with my mom’s collection of National Geographics and scouring through the magazine section at a Border’s Bookstore, the September Vogue was my muse. Martha Stewart Living was my inspiration, Seventeen was my teacher. Elle Decor was my dream for the future, Cosmopolitan was my fantasy. The anticipation for the next issue was my motivation to keep going.

Mag Day was my Christmas.

In sketchbooks I built an archive of clips from these pages: thoughts, cravings, scribbles, and teenage obsessions.

I dreamed of being Martha. I dreamed of my own magazine.

So I did it.

Born from two of my favorites from my husband’s endless stream of nicknames, Faye Cheezy stuck and now it’s the vibe.

This project is the grown-up evolution of a teenager’s bed full of magazines.

My intention is to learn new things, take notes and share them with the world. If you want to add your notes, there’s a spot in it for you too.

take notes. read a magazine.
